The British Business Group (BBG) in Libya was formed in 2002 to better promote the common interests of UK companies engaged in business with Libya. The Group operates under the auspices of the British Embassy but has its own Committee and Constitution.

Membership applications are invited from the following:

Full Membership

• Libyan Branch Offices of UK registered companies who remit profits to, and/or are answerable to, a UK registered parent company;

Overseas Membership

• UK registered companies not established in Libya but who do regular business with the country;
• Non-UK foreign companies resident in Libya who have formal agency or other representative arrangements for the Libyan market with UK registered companies.

What are some of the Benefits of Membership?

• A regular forum for sharing common information and experience with other UK companies tackling the same issues as you.
• A stronger collective voice for UK business interests with the British Embassy and, through them, to the Libyan authorities.
• Regular updates from the British Embassy on the wider political, economic and commercial agenda between the UK and Libya.
