Visas for the UK
How to apply for a UK visa
Where can I get information?
The UK Border Agency and the British Embassy in Libya work in partnership with a commercial organisation, WorldBridge Visa Application Centre (VAC) .
You can find out whether you need a visa and how to apply through WorldBridge website. WorldBridge VAC also provides information through an email and telephone inquiry service, Email enquiries can be made by clicking the " Send an Email Enquiry " link on the VAC website
Do I have to pay?
Website and email information is free of charge but there is a charge for using the telephone service.
Where can I get advice?
VAC and its staff can't give you advice on how to complete your application, or what type of visa you should apply for. If you need further help with your application, or advice about the UK's immigration rules and requirements, you should seek advice from a qualified immigration adviser. In the UK these are immigration advisers regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC). The
Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner
(OISC) regulates the work of immigration advisers, and makes sure that they follow the Commissioner's code of practice and rules. The OISC is also responsible for receiving and investigating complaints against immigration advisers.
Or legally qualified professionals regulated by designated professional bodies.
Their websites are:
Law Society of England and Wales
Law Society of Scotland
Law Society of Northern Ireland
Institute of Legal Executives
More information on visas and Immigration issues can be found on the UK Border Agency website
